We stopped here for breakfast on our way to HaHa Tonka State Park. The breakfast was delicious and a great value! The service was amazing. I rated 4 stars because people can smoke anywhere, so there no place where you can get away from the smoke if someone sits next to you that smokes. Things to know are it's seat yourself and cash only. If you are traveling in the area and are hungry his place is worth a stop!

It just wasn't good good at all.  I had a Reuben which was soggy and weird.  Onion rings had water dripping out of them when I bit into it.  Burgers were just warmed up frozen patties.

Biscuits and gravy were good according to my son!

Service was good and it was clean....just bad food.

As somebody that used to work here and several other restaurants, I wanted to reply to Laurie's comments. 1. Ain't nobody got time for individually plastic wrapped cheese in a restaurant, it's American cheese. That's what comes on literally every cheese burger ever, unless specified. 2. Burgers are fresh, I remember weighing out every hamburger ball to be smashed down with a grill weight to order. 3. Read the menu. Does it say that it comes with something? No? Then you're going to pay extra for it. Works that way at every restaurant I've ever worked at. The menu says that sides do not come with the meal, that's on you if you assumed that each burger came with a side. 4. The waitress that works there is the same waitress that worked there many years ago when it was re-opened and I was a cook. Trust me when I say that she is far from rude. Literally every person that works in any kitchen anywhere hates the wait staff and vice versa. So, when I say that the waitress is not rude, that should mean something. 5. Learn how restaurants work before spewing nonsense like this. You're not going to get a burger and fries for the same price you would get buying the ingredients and making it yourself. The owner has to pay employees and overhead costs. 6. There's a sign at you enter the building stating that the business doesn't take credit or debit. Again, that's on you, Laurie, for not reading. The owner doesn't own the ATM and doesn't collect any money for having it in the building.

My husband and I just came back to town to visit family and stopped in for breakfast. We paid $12 for both our breakfasts and drinks. I'm giving five stars to try to offset Laurie's unfair review.

Great little cafe to stop on your way home after camping, the food was good for the price and our waitress was really helpful with my mom's dietary restrictions. The parking lot was big enough so you can be pulling just about anything and still be able to park with plenty of room. The atmosphere was quaint and small-town feel with regulars flowing in. Bathrooms where nice and clean, same for the rest of the restaurant. The only reason I'm not giving this review 5 stars is because the place kinda smelt like cigarette smoke. Other then that, cute little breakfast place.
Side note: their was a stray dog out front and I got to pet her before we left. it made my morning a lot happier.

$ 41.00 for a lunch that makes dog food seem edible??? Correction... $ 35.00 after it was realized that added bacon to burgers was only $ 1 and not $ 3. My onion rings we burnt, my patties were the frozen kind and my cheese was single wrapped crap cheese where you can get like a HUNDRED slices for $ 1.99 at any grocery store because it's one molecule away from being plastic!!!

I've never been rude in my life but I had to say something.

They charged for extra bacon. They charged for the "side" ( fries, tater tots, or onion rings) $ 3 per side!!!!!!!!!!!! It didn't come with my already WAYYYY over priced meal????? Nobody said "that's an extra charge do you mind?" Which is the polite thing to do when shit doesn't COME WITH THE MEAL!!!

In Podunk Missouri ( and I'm allowed to say that because I'm from hickory county ) who the hell can afford to eat there... Unless you're a tourist and the goal is to nail you poor bastard's for being hungry in the middle of nowhere.

Not to mention the 70's decor... At least the atmosphere could have persuaded me to justify this outrageous pricing but that didn't even do it for me.

My advice... On your way to wherever it is you're going... Pack snacks and wait so you can eat some place that's not going to be a huge disappointment and jack your bank account.

***Also... They don't take credit or debit but they conveniently have an ATM that charges you $ 3 dollars to use... Meal back up to $ 40****

    3 cheeseburgers w/ bacon - $ 18.00
    3 sides - $ 10.00
    3 drinks - $ 7.00

The cost for taking it up the ass - priceless
